@The 1st Laboratory is the leading laboratory for the mitigation
of disaster and environmental engineering. The laboratory consists of 4
research engineers. They are involved in various fields of R&D
activity that provide cost-effective solutions to various problems arising
from construction sites. Their research activity includes; soil and rock
mechanics, foundation design, embankment design, slope stability, seepage
analysis, earthquake engineering and measurement technology as shown in
the following. The laboratory also provides commercial services upon requests
such as in-site tests, laboratory experiments, analysis and development of measurement devices or monitoring system.
